Per typical labeling, unopened pens or vials are kept refrigerated between 36–46°F (2–8°C), and after first use many products may sit at room temperature for a limited window. Always follow the storage instructions on your specific product label or ask your pharmacist.
General guidance for weekly regimens is to take a missed dose if you remember within a few days, otherwise skip it and resume your normal schedule — and never take two doses to make up for one. Contact your prescriber for guidance specific to your regimen.
If your prescriber has approved self-injection, common sites include the abdomen (avoiding the area around the navel), the front of the thighs, or the back of the upper arms. Move to a different spot each week and log every dose so you can track the rotation.
Mild nausea, fatigue, or injection-site soreness has been reported, especially in the first weeks. Contact your prescriber promptly for severe abdominal pain, persistent vomiting, signs of an allergic reaction, or any concerning symptom — and call 911 for difficulty breathing. This list is not exhaustive; review the Medication Guide that came with your prescription.
Place the used syringe — without recapping — into an approved sharps container. When the container is about three-quarters full, follow your local disposal guidelines (many pharmacies and community programs accept full containers).
